In the backyard, on the porch, by the pool, at the park, on the veranda or balcony (but please light in an open space), on a car trip, on a camp trip, at a music festival, when tailgating (also great to keep warm at outdoor events), at a trade show to cook snacks to attract people. We have seen the hibachi used to cook snacks for the happy hours of bars, at farmers markets, and at the beach. These little grills are nothing if not handy.
